The Bayview Village Redevelopment project from Quadreal Property Group will be at Bayview Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East. Further, the Bayview Village project is a large-scale, mixed-use urban makeover in Toronto’s vibrant uptown neighbourhood. With respect to the growth and renovation of this property, the objective is for urban densification, revitalization, and upgrading of the site.
The site will include two new residential buildings, as well as retail at grade and a proposed subterranean link to the Bayview Subway station. HPA will be developing the site’s south-west corner at Bayview and Sheppard Avenues.
The project will include the re-use of the existing shopping centre and the introduction of both retail and residential components which might comprise market condominiums. The approval on site will probably be complete by this year, 2023.
The architects of this project are DIALOG, Hariri Pontarini Architect.
The main aim of the Bayview Village Redevelopment is to revitalise and enliven the southwest section of Bayview Village. This will also include bringing the Bayview Village out to Sheppard, The multi-level storefront will become the new door of the city. The city’s main planning and urban design objectives for this section of Sheppard Avenue will have the support of an integrated podium featuring both residential and retail features.
The concept calls for mixed-use development at Bayview and Sheppard, as well as a potential new underground access linking transportation to the new podium and Bayview Village community. A new urban ‘town square’ community will be formed by dedicated public open space.
