A parking lot in the Entertainment District will soon be replaced by a 47-storey architectural wonder known as the Theatre District Tower. Located at Widmer and Adelaide, this tower will be located in the Entertainment District, making it desirable for people who would like to live in the core of the city. The Princess of Wales Theatre and Scotiabank Theatre are just minutes away.
The floor plate will consist of 157 one bedroom+den suites, 149 will be 1-bedroom units, 107 two bedrooms units, and surprisingly large designation of 48 three bedroom suites. Unit sizes will range from 458 up to 1188 square feet, and will have fantastic open concept layouts.
The tower itself will feature a very well balanced design. It will consist of an large floating glass pane adjacent to the podium level, a mix of concrete and brick skeleton, with a mid-level staggered and rising glass pane, that ends with the final third of the tower in a traditional vertical glass sequence. Overall, a very attractive design for the neighbourhood.
The ground level will be open for retail space. Amenities will include yoga and gym on the 8th floor, and pool and barbecue area at the 9th floor. There will be 104 designated parking spaces underground, and 461 bike lockers matching the residence count.
The condominium will be in close proximity to shopping malls, restaurants and schools. Starbucks, Hooters, and Ravi Soups are conveniently close, as well as University of Toronto and Ryerson University. The Independent City Market is also close to the residence. For whenever you feel like bonding with nature, nearby parks include Grange Park and St. Patrick’s Square. Commuters without a car will have access to the TTC at the doorstep, and highway access is only a few blocks away.
